Interactive Fuzzy Mathematical Modeling in Design of Multi-Objective Cellular Manufacturing Systems
Abstract
Cellular manufacturing (CM) is being visualized as the most important manufacturing strategy worldwide. Many companies are switching over to CMS for improving the performance of their manufacturing activities. Parts are grouped into part families and machines into machine cells on the basis of design or manufacturing similarities. Cell design is the most researched topic in the area of cellular manufacturing. This paper deals with the interactive Fuzzy Mathematical programming approach for design of multi objective cellular manufacturing systems(CMS). Fuzzy goals are quantified by reducing corresponding membership function through interaction with the decision maker. By making the aspiration levels more flexible, different solutions are determined under various weights to interact with decision maker.
