Abstract

Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes in which exchange the data happen without any dependency on a fixed station. Nodes in MANETs are free to move independently in any direction and links change to another device frequently. The primary challenge in MANETs fit up that each device continuously maintains the information for properly route traffic. This type of network may operate itself or can be attached to the larger internet. MANETs has so many routing protocols. In this paper, we studied about multipath routing protocols, i.e. AOMDV (Ad-hoc on Demand Multipath Distance Vector), MDART (Multipath Dynamic Address Routing Protocol) and DSR (Dynamic Source Routing). A multipath routing network uses multiple alternative paths which have varieties of benefits such as fault tolerance and improved security. In this paper, we also measured and compared the performance of AOMDV, MDART and DSR routing protocols.
