Abstract

This study considers a new approach for designing periodic discrete non-binary signals with perfect autocorrelation properties. When applied in radar systems, these periodic signals provide both high resolution distance measurements and high resolution Doppler speed measurements. The results of this study apply to
radar, navigation and communication systems. Keywords: autocorrelation function (ACF), cross correlation function (CCF), periodic discrete signals, radar and
communication systems, Woodward ambiguity function (WAF).
